Last December you removed 2 lipomas from my lower back. One of the lipomas was enormous, and despite your reassurance, based on my past experiences, I was concerned that I would be left with a deforming hollow at the site. I wanted you to know that, just as you promised, there is no deformity in the area whatsoever.
I am constantly reminded of the difference between your work and that of which was done previously for me by the frequent deep pain I experienced at the site on my right shoulder, near my neck. Two different surgeons worked on that area several years apart, and as you know, it's an irreparable mess.

Thank you so much for giving Surgical Grand Rounds yesterday. I know that the others on the surgical staff as well as the residents were as impressed as I was with your presentation of your results in treating gastroesophageal reflux. As I said yesterday, I think you are quite modest in the description of your ability to perform this surgery which is, I believe, quite challenging. All staff members were professional and upbeat. They made unpleasant situations (biopsy and lumpectomy) as comfortable for me as was possible.
Dr. Glasgow explained everything so well and has such marvelous bed-side manner I felt very safe in his care. I certainly feel that Dr. Glasgow is a wonderful doctor.
